General Support Items
One issue we will discuss here is image quality variability
between different states. We need to make it clear that MegaSceneryEarth is only
as good as the original imagery that is available to create it from and we are
at the mercy of such data sources. It is a huge and incredibly expensive
undertaking for those agencies who take the aerial photos. Aerial photography
flyovers of such huge land areas such as the United States landmass is somewhat
in its infancy and it is taking time for all systems to be fully refined such
that quality of all imagery across all states is uniform. So if you are looking
for perfect scenery for every square mile, sorry but you aren't going to get it.
We create our scenery from the latest and best data sources that are available
at the time and release it if we consider it satisfactory and flyable. As newer
and better imagery for each area becomes available we will upgrade such areas.
If we waited until perfectly uniform imagery became available for the entire
country you wouldn't be enjoying MegaSceneryEarth for 10 years into the future.
So lets enjoy what we have now and wait for the improvements over time.

Large areas of default scenery show up within your state
This occurs when you did not properly install all the areas
for your state. To identify which tiles you missed simply go into your Control
Panel and select Add/Remove programs (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista
onwards) and look at your list of installed MegaSceneryEarth areas. You will be
able to identify the missing missing area by the missing number in the sequence.
Then simply install the missing area(s)/tile(s).
All support items below this line apply to the first
generation of MegaSceneryEarth and NOT MegaSceneryEarth 2.0.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Scenery Type Do I Get When I Purchase MegaScenery?
MegaScenery & MegaSceneryEarth provide 2 types of scenery in each package. You get daytime scenery created from high resolution aerial photographs and you get MegaScenery's famous custom NightScene Technology that gives you spectacular night scenery where pretty much every light emitting source is identified and illuminated. The effect is as stunning as night flying in real life.
What About Seasons?
It's an almost impossible task to create scenery for all four seasons. The data isn't available and it would quadruple your install size. Most images in Megascenery are taken in the spring and the same scenery will display regardless of whatever season you have set.
I Just Downloaded 10 Areas, Can I Install Them Simultaneously?
Yes you can. MegaSceneryEarth installers supports multiple instances. Just double click on each installer for each package and each will install at the same time.
Can I Install MegaScenery On Any Drive?
Yes you can select any drive and any directory. During the final stages of installation the installer sets up the pointers within FSX to whatever drive or path the scenery is installed to.
