Thanks to today's incredible broadband speeds, an instant download product line as data intensive as MegaSceneryEarth is now possible and importantly now a reality.
If you have been a user of flight sims for some time, you've probably dreamed of having the ability to choose areas which you want to fly in photoreal detail, being able to order those areas and then being able to instantly download and install into your flight sim and then be flying that hyper-real world within the hour.
That reality is now possible with MegaSceneryEarth.
As data intensive as megaSceneryEarth is, we've tried to make the ordering process as streamlined as possible. If, after shopping our site, you believe we can improve the process, we welcome your suggestions at [email protected].
With all that being said, let's get to it.
Pricing
MegaSceneryEarth is sold on a per state or per country basis depending upon the size. Since we've developed the new Version 3, we've worked on and completed the USA first before we move onto areas outside the USA.
States are priced beginning at $7.95 and up to $39.95, the exceptions (due to their size) being Texas ($99.95), California ($69.95) and Montana ($49.95).

We accept the following methods of payment:
VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DISCOVER, DINERS CLUB, PAYPAL, PAYPAL CREDIT.
We also accept checks and money orders (See section below ordering by mail).
Your credit card is charged live when you complete the checkout process and your order is instantly downloadable upon successful processing of your payment.
Please note that our site is fully secure (SSL/https://) and also note that your credit card number is not stored on this or any server and is deleted immediately upon placement of your order.
PLACING YOUR ORDER ONLINE
1. Select your areas of choice from the product categories or use the search box to locate your favorite areas.
2. When you are on the product page, select your delivery options from Instant Download, DVD Master or Flash Drive to be sent to you by mail.
3. When you have selected all the areas you wish to purchase, complete the checkout process.
4. You will be e-mailed your invoice, download links and license keys. Simply click on the links in the html file you receive to download your scenery.
REFUND POLICY: All sales are absolutely final. No refunds or returns unless the reason was due to an error on our part or that you have a compelling case. For this reason, we ask that you ensure that you choose carefully when you are ordering. All MegaSceneryEarth products are technically sound and guaranteed to work on any system capable of and properly running Microsoft Flight Simulator X, Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition, Prepar3D Version 1 through 4 and beyond.

If you prefer to not use your credit card online, then you can still order and mail a check or money order. Simply place your order online and select Pay By Check. Your order will go into queued status.

As soon as we receive your payment, we will release your order online and you will receive your download links or we will send your DVD's if you ordered them.
Delivery and distribution
All titles are delivered by instant download as the primary delivery method however you can also optionally order your titles to be delivered on DVD or USB Flash Drive. There are no postage charges for DVDs or flash drives. The price of the additional media is all inclusive and covers the costs of the media, replication time, packaging and postage.
There are no additional charges for download delivery.
Your download link is made available as soon as your payment is processed. You will receive a download link and license number for your title by e-mail. If you don't receive your download links in your e-mail, it may have been blocked by a spam blocker, in that event you can also login to your account at any time and your download links and license numbers are stored permanently.
File Size and Format
MegaSceneryEarth titles are multiple Gigabytes in size ranging from 1 Gb through to 200 Gb. We break these down into muliple unique installers 2 Gb in size. These are delivered in ZIP format. These are broken down in size for the sake of convenience. If you were downloading a 30 Gb file, you would hate to be 26 Gb into the download and have your download interrupted! We have determined that 2 Gb file sizes are optimal.
Also in order to allow resuming of interrupted downloads and a little more control over your download, we actually deliver to you, upon completion of your order, a html file which has the links to all of the installers for your area. So the initial file you receive as your download is a very small html file. Within that are the links to the larger zip files.

USING A DOWNLOAD MANAGER
While you can use any browser to download your scenery, e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Chrome, using a download manager may help improve the reliability of your downloads. In the event that your download is interrupted, you will be able to resume your download. You can download a FREE Download Manager from http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/.
DVD and Flash Drive Mastering Service
On each product page there a "Delivery Options" pulldown menu just below the price. You can use this pulldown to choose your delivery options from Instant Download, DVDs or USB Flash Drive media.
DVDs
Most titles, due to size, require multiple DVD's and we charge $2 per DVD which includes mastering and postage charge. All DVD's are professionally produced along with automatic installers so all you need to do is to insert the DVD into your drive and follow the prompts for installation. USA customers please allow up to 10 days for delivery. Outside the USA please allow up to 21 days.
USB Flash Drive
We charge for the cost of the flash drive (from 8 Gb up to 128 Gb depending upon the size of the area) plus a small fee for the process of placing your scenery onto the flash drive. Your scenery will have an auto installer on the flash drive so all you need to do is plug in your flash drive and select the autorun option to commence the installation of your scenery. USA customers please allow up to 10 days for delivery. Outside the USA please allow up to 21 days.
Also...
If you order optional DVDs or USB Flash Drive you will also always receive download links. You do not need to contact our office if you ordered DVDs or flash drive and received download links. If your final invoice/order shows that you ordered DVDs or flash drive then your requested media will arrive in the mail within the above mentioned time windows based upon your location.
Delivery Times
Instant Download
Your download link is made available as soon as your payment is processed ie when you click submit order. You will receive a download link and license number for your title by e-mail (please ensure any spam blockers allow email from support@megasceneryearth). You can also login to your account at any time where your download links and license numbers are stored permanently.
All titles have an estimated download time in the Product Info tab on each product's page. The time is takes to download depends upon the speed of your connection. If you are lucky enough to have a 1 Gb fiber connection, you'll be able to download even the biggest title in under 30 minutes.
We estimate that the average speed of the universe of users out there is a 100 MBPs connection. Such a connection can download about 40 Gb per hour and most titles are an average of about 30 Gb. So even a 100 MBPs connection will download most entire states in under an hour.
This guide gives you times to download 1 Gb of data.
1 GBPs: About 10 seconds
300 MBPs: 30 seconds
100 MBPs: 90 seconds
50 MBPs: 3 minutes
20 MBPs: 6 minutes
10 MBPs: 15 minutes
5 MBPs: 30 minutes
640K DSL: 3 hours 45 minutes
1.5 DSL: 1 hour 30 minutes
Note: Most US households using Comcast, Spectrum or similar provider are on anywhere between 10 MBps and 1 GBPs depending upon your plan. If you are on 5 MBPs or below - seriously consider DVDs or Flash Drive!

Number Of Downloads
We try to be as easy to do business with as possible so we set very loose restrictions on the number of times you can download your product and how long into the future. Your order download links are good for 100 downloads and 10 years (in case you want or need to redownload in the future). We do ask however that you follow our USEFUL TIP below to help us keep our costs down. More importantly it will be easier for you in the future to install from a local copy than to redownload.
If you change your mind about delivery method.
If you ordered the Download Delivery Only option and decided after you ordered that you want to order the disc set instead, your download links will have a link where you can order DVDs or Flash Drives for your order.
USEFUL TIP! If You Order "Download Only Option" Avoid Inconvenience In The Future By Creating Your Own DVD Backups Or Storing Your Downloads On An External Drive
It isn't difficult to create your own backups of your downloads. Simply purchase a pack of blank DVDs and copy your downloads to those DVDs. Or even easier, purchase a portable hard drive (4 Tb is only around $150) or USB flash drives. If anything goes wrong with your system and you lose your data, it's much more convenient to just retrieve your files from your hard drive or DVDs than having to redownload. Avoiding redownloads minimizes unnecessary loads on our server and keeps everyone's experience at our website a pleasant one. It also helps us keep our costs low becasue exceeding bandwidth limits set by ISPs can be expensive for us!
See above, if you don't want to create your own we can create them for you. Simply select your preferred DVD or Flash Drive option when you order each area.
Licensing System
All of our scenery products are protected by our proprietary licensing system. You will receive a license number for your area by e-mail which is also stored in your account. That license number will be linked to the e-mail address that you use to activate it. Upon initial installation of your area you will be asked to enter your e-mail address and license number. That activation will be linked to your e-mail address and will not be able to be activated by any other user with a different e-mail address. The licensing system has an online and offline activation procedure in the even you want to install to a computer that is not connected to the internet. For offline activation however you will need access to e-mail, even if it is on a different machine since activation codes will be e-mail to you. Our licensing system is very reliable and simple to use.
Installation
Our support section has more detailed information on installation and you will receive step by step installation instructions with your download links, however, what you need to know here is as follows.
You will download multiple 2 Gb zip files as your download for each area. When you unzip each file (we suggest you get a free zip utility such as 7zip (7zip.org) or winrar (rarlab.com) you will have an executable installer. e.g. Wyoming_001.exe. You will simply run each installer. You can actually launch multiple installers at once. We recommend no more than 5 but they will all run and install in parallel. You will only need to enter and activate your license with the first installer you run.
For even easier installation we recommend you use our free MegaSceneryEarth Install Manager. This manager makes it very easy to install your scenery and with the manager you don't even have to unzip your files as it will do it's own unzipping during installation. It makes installing and uninstalling MegaSceneryEarth a simple one or two click procedure. You will receive a download link to Install Manager with your download links for your area.
IMPORTANT: At the moment, due to actual faults in most antivirus software titles such as Norton, McAfee etc falsely flag our install manager as having a Trojan. We can confirm with 100% certainty that this is a false positive and our file is clean. We have contacted these AntiVirus companies about it but unfortunately they are slow to move on correcting their antivirus detection algorithms which are complex to say the least. Complex.... but not always right... case in point.
